Danish jewellery manufacturer and retailer Pandora reports a strong year for 2017 despite seeing market challenges. 

Pandora's Group sales increased by 12 per cent last year to DKK22.7 billion (US$3.7 billion) with revenue from Pandora-owned retail growing 42 per cent over the past year. Like-for-like sales-out grew the brand’s concept stores by 11 per cent.

Within the Asia Pacific region, Pandora Sales increased by  25 per cent. Pandora saw from their popular charms and bracalets increase by 8 per cent. Jewellery brand development remains on-going with combined revenue from rings, earrings and necklaces, and pendants increasing by 28 per cent for the past year. These three categories represented 26 per cent of group revenue compared to 23 per cent in 2016.

CEO Anders Colding Friis describes the year as “challenging and eventful”, adding that he believed revenue was driven by a strong performance from Pandora-owned retail, and double-digit growth in local currency across all product categories.
